Who we are
metadata-editor.com is operated by Alexis Guay. This policy explains how image uploads and site analytics are handled. We do not sell your information. Contact: contact@metadata-editor.com.
Image uploads
To read, edit, or remove metadata we must receive the file you upload. The request goes to our servers over HTTPS. The file is written to a temporary path, processed with ExifTool, and deleted immediately after we return the JSON or the processed image. We do not keep a copy, do not build a photo library, and do not use uploads for advertising or training.
There is no user account and no subscription. If you close the tab before downloading, the server-side temporary file is still removed after processing completes.
What we do not collect
We do not require registration and we do not ask for a name, email, or payment to use the tools. We do not store uploaded images after processing.
Cookies, Analytics, and ads
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and Google AdSense to fund the free tools. Those services may set cookies and collect device or usage data under their own policies. We do not combine that data with your uploaded images.
Third-party links
Pages may link to ExifTool, IPTC, C2PA, Adobe XMP documentation, or other sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page is the current version.
